Real Salt Lake Sign Chris Agorsor, Former Philadelphia Union Forward

Real Salt Lake has signed trialist Chris Agorsor to a professional deal, according to our friends over at the Salt Lake Tribune.

Michael C. Lewis, the SLTribune's Real Salt Lake beat reporter, reached out to the Real Salt Lake brass and came back with the following response from the team's General manager:

Agorsor had been on trial with Real Salt Lake since at least June 14, after he was released by the Philadelphia Union on June 2. The 21-year-old striker had been acquired in a lottery on February 16, but never managed to make his way onto the field for the Union during his time in Philadelphia.

Despite making the league minimum with Philly, the team decided to release him because of time development constraints, according to assistant head coach John Hackworth back in June.
