VIDEO: Keon Daniel’s Goal For Trinidad And Tobago In World Cup Qualifier Against Barbados

Earlier in the week, Keon Daniel started for Trinidad and Tobago in a World Cup Qualifier against Barbados.

The 25-year-old midfielder went on to score the first goal of the game, which ended up being good enough to be the game winner. With a final score of 2-0, and a 1-0 win over Bermuda a couple of days prior to the match versus Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago are positioned to move on in CONCACAF's qualifying structure.

As seen in the video above, Daniel moves in from the left side of the field, where he started, to take up room left by the forward thinking Kenwyne Jones. The striker latches onto a cross from Trinidad's number 10, then waits what seems like literally a second before sliding a through ball past the last defender to the streaking Daniel.

On a breakaway with a teammate just to his left, Daniel gracefully dribbles the ball toward the opposing goal, before ripping a shot past the oncoming goalkeeper. That was Daniel’s second goal of the year in official play, his first coming with the Philadelphia Union against Real Salt Lake in an MLS regular season game.
