NYCFC agrees to extension with rising star James Sands
The 20-year-old was the club’s first-ever homegrown player and completed his second full season with the club in 2020, starting and appearing in 16 games with one assist before he suffered a right-foot fracture that ended his season prematurely. 

LA Galaxy set to sign defender Derrick Williams
Coming through Aston Villa’s youth system, he’s played his entire professional club career to date in England. After making his debut for Villa in 2012, Williams moved to Bristol City the following year, making over 100 appearances in League One and the Championship for them. In 2016, he moved to another Championship side, Blackburn Rovers, again getting consistent action for the Lancashire club.

Colorado Rapids sign center back Michael Edwards to 2-year contract
Edwards has been in Germany playing with Wolfsburg’s youth teams since 2018 and is a product of the DC United Academy. Edwards has spent time with Wolfsburg’s first team in training, but was unable to crack a matchday squad.

Dynamo and Dash release new jerseys for 2021 season
The club’s Houston-inspired motto “Hold It Down” is printed on the inside of the neckline, while the back neck of the jersey features an orange, black and silver version of the Texas flag inside a hexagonal pane.
