Winner of West Chester and Ocean City game to play at Maryland Bobcats FC in U.S. Open Cup

The winner of the first round match between West Chester United and Ocean City Nor’easters will travel to Boyds, Md. to take on Maryland Bobcats FC in the second round of the U.S. Open Cup.

The two local rivals – playing on March 21 at YSC Sports – learned of their potential second round opponent on Thursday with the announcement of the second round pairings.

Division II and Division III teams enter the competition in the second round. MLS teams enter in the third and fourth rounds. The Union enter in the fourth round May 9-10. West Chester or Ocean City would most likely have to knock off two professional sides to earn a match-up with the Union.
