Lower League Round-Up: Week of April 22

We are approaching the end of the season for two local lower leagues but fear not, two other leagues are just ready to get started. USLPA and EPSL will be wrapping up their seasons by the end of spring and standings are coming down to the wire. Meanwhile, USL League Two, USL W League, UWS, NPSL and WPSL will be starting this month so there will be plenty of local soccer action to take in.

United Soccer League of Pennsylvania (USLPA)

West Chester United continued their undefeated season (9-0-0) with a 5-0 win over Phoenix SC on Sunday 4/28. Also on Sunday, Lancaster City FC beat United German Hungarians 4-2.

Upcoming schedules:

  • Sunday 5/5 – Vereinigung Erzgebirge vs West Chester United at VE at 2:30pm
  • Sunday 5/5 – Phoenix SC vs United German Hungarians at Phoenix at 2:30pm
  • Sunday 5/5 – Lighthouse SC vs Ukrainian Nationals at Lighthouse Soccer Club at 2:30pm
  • Sunday 5/5 – Lancaster City FC vs Colonial SC at Lancaster Catholic HS Field at 3pm

On the Women’s Majors Division side of USLPA, standings are tight at the top of the table with only a handful of games left. Ukrainian Nationals are undefeated (11-0-0) with Huntingdon Valley Pride right on their heels.

Eastern Premier Soccer League (EPSL)

Sunday saw a thrilling top of the table clash between Philadelphia SC and Alloy SC with PSC coming out with the win 4-3. The battle for the regular season title will come down to the wire as Alloy and PSC are now tied with 29 points each in the standings. Check out the full match recap here.

  • Sunday 4/28 – Salone FC 0-7 Real Central NJ
  • Sunday 4/28 – Philadelphia Heritage 3-4 Kensington SC
  • Sunday 4/28 – Oaklyn United 3-1 Inter Vidas

  • Saturday 5/4 – Kensington SC vs Philadelphia SC at Northeast HS at 6pm
  • Sunday 5/5 – Salone FC vs Oaklyn United at South Philadelphia SuperSite at 5pm
  • Sunday 5/5 – Vidas Elite vs Alloy SC at Germantown SuperSite at 6pm
  • Sunday 5/5 – Real Central NJ vs Philadelphia Heritage at Mercer County Community College at 8pm

United Premier Soccer League (UPSL)

Philadelphia Lone Star beat Cabras Football Club 6-1 on Sunday. Next up for Lone Star will be at Javier Velasco Soccer Academy at 2:30pm on Saturday.  Lancaster FC sits top of table in the UPSL Northeast-American South Division with a perfect 4-0-0 record.

National Premier Soccer League (NPSL)

The NPSL Keystone East and Keystone West conferences will be kicking off this month and both conferences feature local teams. Keystone East Conference teams will get things started this weekend:

  • Saturday 5/4 – Philadelphia Union Development Squad vs Jackson Lions FC at WSFS Bank Sportsplex at 7pm
  • Sunday 5/5 – Atlantic City FC vs FC Motown at Absegami HS Field at 7pm
