Eight teams from the area will be entering U.S. Open Cup qualifying next weekend with four games on the slate as part of the second round of qualifying for the 2027 U.S. Open Cup.

Only one team from the area was represented in the U.S. Open Cup proper in 2026 with West Chester United earning an automatic bid via winning the National Amateur Cup in 2025.

Vereinigung Erzgebirge will face fellow APSL entry Philadelphia SC at home on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 2 p.m. Colonial SC and Vidas United face off at 6 p.m. at Victory Field in Plymouth Meeting in another clash of APSL teams while two-time defending APSL champions West Chester United, aka WC Predators, hosts APSL team Oaklyn United FC at Scott Auto Field at 7 p.m. Oaklyn United was one win away from punching a ticket to the U.S. Open Cup last November but came up short in a 2-1 loss to SC Vistula.

Philadelphia Lone Star will host UPSL rival Pennsylvania Prime on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 3:30 p.m. at John Bartram High School Stadium.
