Rowan women cap perfect regular season with win at Rutgers-Camden

Rowan are a perfect 14-0 after completing their regular season slate with a 2-0 win by the Ben Franklin Bridge at Rutgers-Camden on Wednesday night.

Sara Wiedeman and Bella Moore combined for the first goal of the night in the 5th minute and Wiedeman added a goal of her own in the 76th minute to round out the scoring. Wiedeman finished the regular season with 13 goals and 13 assists.

Enya Carthy made three saves to record the clean sheet in goal, her 7th solo clean sheet and the 11th team clean sheet of the season.

The Profs head into the NJAC Championships as the No. 1 seed and are the only remaining team in NCAA Division III with a perfect record intact.

They’ve outscored opponents 49-3 and have scored more than one goal in all but two games (1-0 wins over Messiah and New Paltz).

Rowan will host the winner of the quarterfinal between Stockton and New Paltz (Oct. 31) in one semifinal on Wednesday, Nov. 4.
