Miller, a defender with 32 senior men’s appearances for Canada, played in 60 regular season games for Montreal over three seasons, contributing three goals, six assists and 11 clean sheets.

The Crew sign Aidan Morris to contract extension
The 21 year old has started all seven games for the Black & Gold, tied for second on the team with 618 minutes played. Morris, who announced in the offseason he wants to contribute more offensively, scored his first career goal against Atlanta United in late March

CF Montréal forward Mason Toye out 6-8 weeks with knee injury
Toye, 24, has battled injuries during his Montréal career. The former US youth international has tallied nine goals and one assist across 41 regular-season games (22 starts), limited to just under 1,900 minutes since joining midway through the 2020 season in a trade from Minnesota United FC.

USMNT roster named for Mexico friendly
The United States Men’s National Team will have a mostly MLS-based roster when they take on Mexico in the inaugural Continental Clásico next week.

USWNT to play Wales in Women’s World Cup send off on July 9
It will be the first time the USWNT will line up against Wales, the 31st ranked team in the FIFA world rankings. It’s the 56th different country the USWNT will have faced in its history. Wales did not make the Women’s World Cup.

AC Milan takes control of UEFA Champions League quarterfinal first leg
AC Milan will take a 1-0 lead to Naples next week after beating Napoli 1-0 in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal first leg at San Siro on Wednesday. Ismael Bennacer scored the only goal of the game after 40 minutes as Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa saw red for two second half bookings to make life tough for Luciano Spalletti’s Serie A leaders.

Real Madrid were dominant at home and individual mistakes cost Chelsea in a disappointing 2-0 loss to Los Blancos on Wednesday.
