Normally we don’t dig into player ratings until the regular season starts but since the Union played a rare preseason match that was streamed on Sunday afternoon why not fire them up early.

Share your thoughts on the performances of the players in the first preseason match of the season. We’ll post the results here and on the River End newsletter.

Holden Trent was the community man of the match. Quinn Sullivan, Joaquin Torres and Jack Elliott all posted average 3.5 ratings.

Most Important Play: “Joaquin Torres shot from the edge of the box was the best play the Union had. Torres looked the brightest out of all the forwards.”

Surprise: “Neil Pierre. His frame is impressive for a 16 year old and he already seems accustomed to using it. He may be able to contribute to the first team sooner than we thought. Looked better than Makhanya today.”

Other Comments:
