The Army-Navy Cup will be back at Subaru Park on Friday, Oct. 11 with the 13th edition of the annual men’s soccer clash between the Army and Naval academies.

“It is an honor every year to host the Army-Navy Cup at Subaru Park,” Philadelphia Union Persident Tim McDermott said in a news release. “Entering their 13th edition of this annual match is a testament to the longevity of this rivalry and sportsmanship between these two esteemed academies. We look forward to another memorable and exciting match this year.”

Army has the upper hand in the annual Patriot League rivalry game since it was moved to Chester with a record of 5-3-4. Army has lost just once in the past 9 meetings in the derby and hold the cup after a win in 2022 and a draw in 2023.

Both teams have had tough starts to their 2024 season with two wins between the two programs. Army has a 1-4-1 record while Navy is 1-3-2 heading into the start of the conference season and a meeting with former head coach David Brandt and Bucknell.

Local players on the service academy rosters include Keane Brown (New Hope, Pa.) and Nate Stewart (Phoenixville, Pa.) on Navy’s roster and Justin Davidyock (Newtown, Pa.) on Army’s roster.
