The Philadelphia Union Academy’s third season in the U.S. Development Academy will close this Saturday when D.C. United comes to town for a triple header.

The U18 team – currently one point ahead of the New York Red Bulls in the standings – has a chance to clinch the Atlantic Division with what would be the first ever win for the U18s over D.C. They are in fourth position for the playoffs, which begin with group matches June 22-26 in Frisco, Texas.

In five meetings between the teams, the Union have lost once and drawn four times, including a 1-1 draw on the road in November. D.C. United (15-5-5) are third place in the Atlantic Division and come in off a 2-2 draw with Continental FCD in Conshohocken on Monday. They're unbeaten in six straight.

The game kicks off at 10 a.m. at YSC Sports.

U16s

The U16s will look for the season sweep after a 1-0 win over D.C. United on the road in November.

While the division is no longer up for grabs with New York Red Bulls winning both of the games they had in hand over the weekend, a win would give the U16s momentum heading into the group stage of the playoffs in Frisco. They are currently in the 10th spot for playoff seeding.

Over five meetings, the Union have had the upper hand with a 3-1-1 record and have won two straight dating back to last April. Kalil ElMedkhar's goal led the U16s to a 1-0 win in their last meeting in November.

D.C. United comes in off of back-to-back draws against Continental FCD and Richmond United. They're 11-9-5 on the year and are in third place in the Atlantic Division, 13 points behind the Union. Former Union forward Colin Brezniak leads the team in goals with 12.

The game kicks off at noon at YSC Sports.

U14s

After a 6-0 hammering of Prince William Courage on the road last weekend, the U14s will return home for the last game before a showcase June 20-23 in Frisco, Texas.

This will be the first meeting this season between the two teams. The U14s are 2-1-0 all-time against D.C. United and are coming off a 3-0 win on the road last April.

Evan Lamarca is coming off a hat trick last weekend in a game that marked the 11th time the team has scored four or more goals in a game. The team has won 12 games in a row and is unbeaten in 15. They are 17-1-3 overall this season.

The game kicks off at 2 p.m. at YSC Sports.
