Andre Blake, Cory Burke make Jamaican National Team

The Union keeper and Steel FC striker will join Jamaica for two must win games

Union number one keeper and Raggae Boyz mainstay Andre Blake and Bethlehem Steel FC striker Cory Burke will both serve their country against Panama and Haiti in early September.

Jamaica currently sits three points off of Panama for the second spot in the second group in qualifing for the Hex which would mean the potential six point swing against the Central American side on September 2nd has huge implications for Jamaica. The following game against Haiti should be less of a struggle however the result could be critical if all goes well against Panama. Taking every point available from these two games is a must do for Jamaica if the Federation wants to prove they’re more than just the Golden Generation.

Both Andre Blake and Cory Burke will miss some time for their respective clubs and here’s how that should break down.

Andre Blake: Should only miss the September 3rd fixture against Chicago

Cory Burke: Missing both the August 30th fixture against HCI and the Sept 4th fixture against Red Bulls II.

Congratulations to both on their call ups and we wish them the best of luck with their country.
