In an interview with the Guyana Chronicle, Philadelphia Union midfielder Warren Creavalle spoke about his call up to the Guyanese National Team.

“Representing Guyana is something I have always thought about in the past, so being here is like a dream come true. It is a great feeling to be in the country of my Dad’s birth for the first time and I must say I already feel connected. I am eagerly looking forward to the games and hope my experience can add to the team’s performance,”

This is Creavalle’s first call up with the Golden Jaguars, who have recently started calling on players who are born outside of the country. After the team went on a twenty-two month hiatus from 2012 to 2014, the last manager focused solely on Guyanese-born players for a couple of years. Creavalle was born in suburban Atlanta, Georgia and is joined by twelve other players based outside of Guyana.
