Mark your calendars. The Philadelphia Union released some preseason dates yesterday, confirming that they would be returning to Clearwater, Florida and participating in the Suncoast Invitational Preseason Tournament. The tournament, which is hosted by the Tampa Bay Rowdies, will see the Union match up against the Rowdies, Montreal Impact, and D.C. United.

The first announced match will be at 7:30 PM on Saturday, February 18th in Al Lang Stadium in downtown St. Petersburg when the Union will square off against the Rowdies. Then on Wednesday the 22nd, the Union and Impact will square off in Clearwater’s Joe DiMaggio Sports Complex at 7:00 PM. The final game will be against D.C. on Saturday, February 25th at 5:00 PM at Al Lang Stadium. While these matches will most likely not be televised, they are usually live streamed.

While these are the matches that have been announced, there’s speculation that the club will have a couple more friendlies at the beginning of February. The club is slated to begin training camp on January 23 at UPenn, and will leave Philadelphia on January 31st for Florida. There they will remain in camp until February 10th, returning home for a brief break before heading back to Florida on the 14th to start the Suncoast Invitational.
