All six area Division 1 men’s programs will take part in a triple-header of games Saturday at Penn Park on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania.

The annual Philly Soccer Six event begins at 1 p.m. with host Penn playing Temple, followed by Drexel and Saint Joseph’s at 3:30 p.m. and Villanova and La Salle at 6 p.m.

Each team will play a full 90-minute game instead of 45-minute matches against two opponents as has been the custom in the past.

Villanova are the reigning regular season Philly Soccer Six champions after going 1-0-1 in their two official matches for the city title. Villanova also lost to Temple last season but it wasn’t an official Philly Soccer Six match.

The Wildcats, which made the NCAA tournament for the first time in program history last season, last played La Salle in a regular season match in 2014, winning 3-0. Temple last played Penn in a regular season match in 2015 and won 3-0. Drexel and Saint Joseph’s last played in a regular season game in 2015. It ended in a scoreless draw.

Villanova has a trio of Philadelphia Union Academy grads in Zach Zandi, Shane Bradley and Conor Bradley while La Salle has Academy grads Cameron Keys and Garrett Keys on the team.

Schedule
Penn vs Temple, 1 p.m.
Drexel vs Saint Joseph’s, 3:30 p.m.
La Salle vs Villanova, 6 p.m.
