The Philadelphia Union’s Alejandro Bedoya has been called up to the United States National Team ahead of their three upcoming matches. The United States will face off against Venezuela in a friendly match at Rio Tinto Stadium on June 3rd, then go into the hexagonal qualification for the World Cup. They’ll host Trinidad and Tobago on June 8th at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park before facing off against Mexico at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on June 11th.

Unfortunately for the Union, Bedoya will miss this coming weekend’s match against New York City FC. The United States will look to get players acclimated to playing at high altitudes with the matches in Sandy, Utah (at approximately 4200 feet) and Commerce City, Colorado (at approximately 5200 feet) before heading to Mexico City (at approximately 7400 feet) to face off against their arch-rivals.

Bedoya has 59 caps with the United States thus far in his career.
