Ocean City sweeps Jersey Express; Reading United & Lehigh Valley United both win
Ocean City tied on points with division leader New York Red Bulls U23 after two wins; Frantzy Pierrot scored a hat trick for Reading
Ocean City swept Jersey Express in a home and home series last week to improve to 5-2-0 on the season and stay within three points of first place New York Red Bulls U23.
Three second half goals sparked Ocean City to a lopsided win over Jersey Express on Sunday at Carey Stadium.
Ignacio Tellechea opened the scoring with his fourth of the season in the 4th minute off an assist from Nikola Fimic. Tied after a 20th minute equalizer, the Ocean City offense broke the game open when Tyler Collishaw, Ismael Noumansana and Fredlin Mompremier all scored in a 13-minute span. Fimic added a second assist on Noumansana’s goal and Noumansana also had an assist on the fourth goal of the match.

Frantzdy Pierrot led the way with a hat trick and Hugo Delhommelle and Evan Finnegan added goals to power Reading United to a lopsided win over Evergreen FC on Wednesday.
Philadelphia Union Academy grad Robert Campbell, Jelani Pieters and Delhommelle all recorded assists and goalkeeper Ben Lundt made one save in goal.
Reading improved to 4-1-0 on the season, three points behind New York Red Bulls U23 in the Mid-Atlantic standings.

Lehigh Valley fell 2-1 to Red Bulls U23 mid-week. Mark Forrest scored in the losing effort on an assist from Jordan Poarch and Brian White and Fabio De Sousa had the goals for New York, which had a nine-save performance from Ben Lundgaard. Lehigh Valley and Philadelphia University goalkeeper Benjamin Sauer made 13 saves in the match.
