Three questions with Dirty South Soccer

Eugene Rupinski, Brotherly Game) While the Union have a quick turnaround time having played on Saturday night, Atlanta's is even quicker. How will this impact team selection and Atlanta's play?

Haris Kruskic, Dirty South Soccer) Well, Miguel Almirón is out for three weeks after picking up an injury against Montreal. Other than that though, Tata Martino has shown throughout this "five matches in fourteen days" stretch Atlanta had that he is going to play his best XI every time, regardless of how many matches they've played in whatever span of time. Therefore, there shouldn't be a major change in their play on Sunday either.

tBG) Reader Jeff Livezey asks "How (does Atlanta) expect to maintain the success they have had this season?"

DSS) Good question, Jeff. Off the pitch, I think it'll have to be similar to what they did last offseason: Make bold moves that intrigue people. Now obviously there won't be as many opportunities to do that as there were before our inaugural season, but Atlanta will have to continue to be innovative when it comes to how they attract the fanbase.

On the pitch, I think taking the options to buy in Yamil Asad and Greg Garza's respective loans will be the biggest talking point. The feeling in Atlanta is that only one of them will be back on a permanent basis next season, but it would be great if we could somehow bring back both. They've both played crucial roles for the club. 

tBG) Reader Jared Cram asks "What's it like to have an ownership group that's willing to spend money?"

It's quite lovely. There's a reason Atlanta's found so much success its inaugural season. They weren't afraid to splash the cash, which is more than can be said for most MLS sides. If the league wants to grow, I think the next step is investing serious amounts of money on young players throughout MLS, and not just a handful of clubs.

However, that isn't to say it's all about the players. Atlanta's ownership group has not cut corners on anything. It's time that other owners see what soccer in America can become.
