Rate the U: Big chances, even bigger mistakes

Haris and Ale weren’t the only thing the Union were missing on Friday night

When the final whistle blew on another loss to Toronto FC at Talen Energy Stadium on Friday night, it wasn’t hard to assess what went wrong.

Both goals were mistakes the visitors capitalized on while the hosts couldn’t finish the many chances they had created.

Sound familiar?

The Union have been shut out now eight times this season in 15 games. And it isn’t all because of the goalkeepers, who seem to often play well against the Union while benefiting from poor finishing.

The big chances Friday fell to Fafa Picault and David Accam while the mistakes were largely the fault of Keegan Rosenberry on a terrible throw-in and Rosenberry and Mark McKenzie on the first goal.
