2011 MLS Schedule Comes Out Today, Speculations Abound On Fixtures

Major League Soccer releases its full 2011 season schedule this afternoon. Soccer By Ives has said through Twitter that the expected time of arrival for the release is around 2 pm today.

The Philadelphia Union already know that the season will begin in Houston versus the Dynamo come March 19. Then the team returns to Philadelphia to face expansion club Vancouver Whitecaps on March 26 for the 2011 home opener at PPL Park.

Currently it is rumored that the Union will face rivals New York Red Bulls on April 9 at PPL Park. Sons of Ben President Bryan James, who was the original person to drop Bimbo as a perspective sponsor, tweeted the rumor. There's also speculation that the Union will face the Los Angeles Galaxy on either May 11 or May 12.

Mark Sakers, a Sons of Ben member, said over Twitter that the Union's ticket staff may have accidentally leaked portions of the schedule to season ticket holders:

Apparently how all this is out is that season ticket holders under account manager were able to see the 2011 schedule as far as days, not times. That sched is now gone. A slip up.

What do you think the schedule will look like for the Union? Is there anything you're specifically looking to have on the schedule?
