Harvey All The Time
Earl Gardner has given Philadelphia Union fans the next great hit: "Harvey All The Time."
Based upon Eddie Murphy and Rick James' 1980s hit single "Party All The Time," Gardner brings to life a running meme on Twitter about the Union's starting left back, Jordan Harvey. It has been proposed numerous times through Twitter that the Sons of Ben should adopt a song around Harvey and "Party All The Time" for Harvey, along the lines of how Danny Mwanga sports his own song.
Gardner's remix comes on the heels of a post in which I discussed how the Union's online community has not grown to the point where it either warrants or has produced a blog or someone along the lines of Zoo With Roy or The Fightins. It's a pleasure to see music mashups/remixes and photo shoppes for the Union, despite the aforementioned limitations.
Unlike with the four other teams in Philadelphia, the Union don't have the benefit of heavy main stream media coverage, which leaves a lot to blogs to pick up the slack on. You've seen stories here on the Brotherly Game, Philly Soccer Page and others that were breaking news stories. It's something that really isn't found elsewhere in Philly sports.
