Jay Sugarman And Piotr Nowak Approach Faryd Mondragon About Contract Extension

Philadelphia Union chairman Jay Sugarman and head coach Piotr Nowak have talked with Faryd Mondragon about extending his time with the team, according to Mondragon.

The 40-year-old goalkeeper tweeted to a Galatasaray fan, one of his former teams during his long career, that the Union have approached him about adding a year to his contract.

The news comes only two weeks after the former Colombian national team starter stated his desire to eventually retire as a member of the Union.
