810 WHB AM Podcast: Listen To What Scott Kessler Had To Say About The Union-SKC Game

Published

on

Last night I was invited to be a guest on Kansas City ESPN-affiliate radio station 810 WHB AM's The Kansas City Soccer Show.

Following up Taylor Twellman, the Philadelphia Union’s television color commentator, I was asked what I thought of the match up between the Union and Sporting Kansas City, Zach Pfeffer’s debut, the Union’s rise-fall-rise in the past two months and the Jordan Harvey trade, among other topics.

Twellman started off the Union guest talk with some of his experiences as Union commentator, ranging from the play on the field to his work off of the field. Always surrounding talk on concussions, Twellman was asked to discuss the Union’s starting right back, Sheanon Williams, and his concussion that will keep him out of tomorrow’s game.

After that, I made my first ever appearance on ESPN. Defending Pfeffer, talking about the problems the Union face with injuries tomorrow and trying to explain what Piotr Nowak went through while deciding to pull the trigger on the Harvey trade made it an interesting experience.
