Following In Peter Nowak’s Footsteps, Sebastien Le Toux Joins Twitter
Piotr Nowak’s impromptu registration and use of Twitter last week sparked a question from a fan, @crosswiredmind, during the Philadelphia Union’s first ever Support Summit: when would Sebastien Le Toux get onto the social networking site as well?
Le Toux answered that question by saying he'd be on Twitter sometime this week and he held up his side of the bargin today, tweeting for the first time as @SebastienLeToux. The 26-year-old Frenchman was immediately inundated with messages from well wishing fans.
In the matter of an hour, Le Toux's account has jumped to over 500 followers and continues to rise.
Heading toward the end of the second half of the Union's second year in MLS, the team sports 11 out of 23 first team players on Twitter. That number doesn't include the team's up-and-coming academy players that also are on the site (Zack Steffen, Darius Madison and others).
Le Toux joins Freddy Adu, Gabriel Farfan, Faryd Mondragon, Kyle Nakazawa, Amobi Okugo, Veljko Paunovic, Ryan Richter, Roger Torres, Carlos Valdes and Sheanon Williams as players that have reached out to Union fans on Twitter.
