Marfan Recognized For His Play Against United
Soccer By Ives gave its Rookie of the Week award to the Union's Michael Farfan.
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder scored the game winner against DC United, showing off his technical abilities and other gifts on the soccer field. Beating a DCU defender, Farfan cut over the center of the field and took a left footed shot from outside the 18 that found the back of the net.
After playing sparsely, mostly out of position, this season, Farfan has found playing time during the Union's run to the playoffs.
