USMNT – Mexico: Lineups, Notes, Times, Channels And Gamethread

The United States Men’s National Team (USMNT) takes on Mexico, their fiercest rivals, at Lincoln Financial Field tonight at 9 pm.

Broadcast Info/Times: Pregame – ESPN News starting at 8:30 pm. Currently being pre-empted by a Little League World Series Game. 

Game – ESPN 2, 9 pm, Ian Darke and John Harkes will be in the booth, with Alexi Lalas and the Philadelphia Union‘s color commentator Talor Twellman as other members of the broadcast crew.

Lineups: 

USMNT: Tim Howard; Steve Cherundolo, Michael Orozco Fiscal, Carlos Bocanegra (c), Edgar Castillo; Jermaine Jones, Kyle Beckerman; Landon Donovan, Michael Bradley, Jose Torres; Edson Buddle; bench: Bill Hamid, Zach Loyd, Heath Pearce, Ricardo Clark, Robbie Rogers, Brek Shea, Juan Agudelo. Not on bench: Freddy Adu, Tim Ream, DeMarcus Beasley.

Mexico: Ochoa; Juárez, Márquez, Moreno, Salcido; Barrera, Torrado, Castro, Guardado; Naelson, Peralta; bench: Dos Santos, Rodríguez, Arellano, Aquino, Talavera, Zavala, Torres Nilo, Bermúdez, Águilar.

Notes: Former Union central defender Fiscal is starting for the USMNT. It’s his first trip back to Philadelphia since the Union were either unable or chose not to bring him back on loan or on a permanent basis. Fiscal is currently with San Luis of the Mexican Primera

This is new USMNT head coach Jurgen Klinsmann's debut.
