90+5’ – Flach picks off the pass and the ref whistles for the final time. Union win it 1-0.

90+4’ – We have a Union debut! Alvas Powell comes on for Mbaizo.

90+3’ – Sloppy defense by the Union here and they are really saved by poor shot selection by Columbus.

90+1’ – We will have five minutes of stoppage time.

90’ – Union homegrown alums Mckenzie and Aaronson are the newest drummers for the SOBs.

88’ – Play is stopped after a ball goes off the top of the neck of Flach. He is on the pitch and the medical staff is looking at him.

87’ – Curling ball sent from the left side of the pitch luckily does not get connected with a diving Crew player.

84’ – We have our second Union booking. Flach goes down for a hard tackle and enters the refs book. Columbus gets a free kick and the ball is sent in and is last touched by Columbus. Goal kick for Blake, don’t be shocked here as he tries to take time and slow down the game.

82’ – Save by Blake! Columbus beats the back four and per usual Blake wins the one on one.

80’ – The 17 year old Sullivan comes on and earns a corner kick. Monteiro sends it to the far post and it gets cleared.

79’ – Bedoya is limbing off the field and is being replaced by Sullivan.

76’ – Double switch by Columbus here Francis for Fraser and Parente for Etienne.

75’ – Probably the most threatening attack here from Columbus. They had a corner sent it into about the penalty spot. It bounces around and the ball is sent outside of the top of the box. However it is shot with some power and saved by Blake.

74’ – He is running back on the field. Red card is pulled back and instead Real is being shown a yellow card. Correct decision made.

72’ – Matt Real went for a hard tackle and the ref goes to grab a straight red. On replay this should be taken back as the studs are not shown at all. Looks like the ref is going over to the monitor.

70’ – Union earn a corner right in front of section 140 in the river end. Monteiro sends it to the back post. The ball bounces off a couple of the U’s heads and eventually gets cleared.

66’ – Foul committed by Columbus, where Blake sends it up field. The ball bounces around and the crew eventually go on the counter. However the shot or pass goes out for a goal kick.

45+1’ – Burke is on the sidelines, wouldn’t be shocked if he is getting evaluated. Fourth official puts up one minute of stoppage time. However we will see time added for the late stoppage.

45’ – Burke is back on the deck after a rough collision in the air. Looks like he takes a shoulder to the head. Medical staff is now on the pitch evaluating him.

40’ – Union earn a corner from the right side flag. Wagner sends it into the near post and it is easily cleared by Columbus.

38’ – Columbus earns a corner here, also the first time we have really seen any action up near the river end. Corner comes to nothing.

33’ – Union keep pressing up high and getting some space. Burke driving up the right side and turns to start going more center. Rips one from distance and it hits the side of the net.

Side – It is great for a loud Doop Celebration

24’ – GOALLLLLLLL! Monteiro picks up the second ball at the top of the box and strikes it into the corner of the net! Union up 1-0

22’ – Mbaizo sends a cross into the box and it is deflected for a corner kick. Monteiro sends it into the middle and gets it straight onto Burke’s head, who mistimes the jump and sends the ball over the net.

20’ – Burke draws a foul maybe 2 yards from the end line. Kick is sent to the middle of the box and is easily picked up by the crew. Columbus starts a counter but the play is whistled dead after a foul near the center of the field.

14’ – Union send a long ball from about right center to the left side. However the Union were not able to get on the end of it to capitalize on the idea.

12’ – Free kick from about 30 yards out and from the right side, is sent into the box untouched. After a few backs and forth between the two teams nothing came from it.

11’ – Hard foul by Wagner here on the sideline right below the Union bench. Afterwards he is getting a warning from the ref.

10’ – Strong challenge on Kacper Przybylko, who goes down on the pitch. Ref whistles for a stop. Play was not stopped for long.

9’ – Blake comes all the way out and needs to backtrack to get back on the line. Thankfully the crew took their time to switch the attack to the right side of the box. However a dangerous move right in front of Blake where the backline softly sent the ball back to him. It was eventually cleared and sent up field.

8’ – Union’s attack is primarily going up the right side of the field. Where they are playing into the sun.
