Update

90+7’ – Chris Penso blows the whistle for the end of the match. Thankfully the 17 year old was able to finally get a shot on frame for the Union.

90+4 ‘ – Penso gives a yellow card out to Breza and Kizza. Both of the cards were for time wasting.

90+1 – Fourth official shows us there will be at least six minutes of stoppage time.

87’ – EQUALIZER!!! Sullivan with another great goal. He is set and demanding the ball at the top of the box and sends the rocket to the back of the net. Seems like all he can do is score at the end of the game.

81’ – Union look to be going with three in the back for the final 10 minutes. The took Mbaizo out and brought on Sullivan. This means unless there is a concussion, the U are down with Subs for the night.

77’ – Triple switch by Montreal here as Maciel, Hamdi and Ibrahim all come into the game. The three of them replace Wanyama, Johnsen and Torres.

69’ – Montreal is making a defensive sub here as Choiniere comes off for Bassong.

68’ – Montreal’s Miller is booked with a yellow for delaying the restart of the game.

65’ – Double sub for the Union here as Gazdag and Flach come off the pitch. Replacing them is Przybylko and McGlynn.

63’ – Flach crosses it into the penalty area and Santos heads it to the far post but it goes wide of the net.

61’ – Union corner is played short and then turn it over after the ball looks to graze the ref. Montreal gets a good counter attack going but the Union have a strong recovery run before it becomes a threat.

59’ – Lucky break for the Union as Montreal can not get on the end of the corner header. Still 1-0.

57’ – First change for Curtin here as he brings on Bedoya for Burke. This also will most likely force a change in the formation.

51’ – Monteiro draws a foul just outside the box near the endline. The chip into the box is sent out for a Union corner. The delivery ended with a Montreal goal kick.

46’ – Second half underway at 9:13.

45+3’ – Late free kick for the Union here and it goes out for a goal kick. On the restart ref Penso blows for halftime. Teams head to the locker room at 8:57 PM.

45+1’ – We will see two minutes of stoppage time. Mihailovic gets a good run behind Glesnes and has a 1v1 on Blake. The right footed shot from the center of the box goes in. Montreal up 1-0.

44’ – Montreal’s Mathieu Choinière earns a yellow for a hard tackle.

41’ – Montreal corner here and the cross is punched out by Blake. The second ball comes back in and Blake makes an easy save.

37’ – There is a lot to be happy about the past ten minutes from the Union’s attack. They have another corner here. The low ball in and there is a deflection off of Glesnes and Santos tries to get a head on it but it is just too high.

30’ – Burke just missing a rocket from inside the box, as his shot goes over the bar.

26’ – Penso stops the match again, this time it is a Montreal player that is down and the staff is now on the pitch looking at him.

25’ – Santos is once again down after a 1v1 and replays look like he was hit in the face.

22’ – Santos is up on his own and gingerly walking towards the sideline.

21’ – Play is stopped as Santos is down on the pitch holding his leg. The training staff is now out looking at him. Replay shows he came down awkwardly on his right leg,

20’ – Wagner clears the ball off the goal line to keep this game leveled.

18’ – Some good spacing and passing by the Union here. Eventually Flach tries a low cross in front of the net but it is just out of reach for Burke.

14’ – Corner here for the Union from the near flag. Wagner is set to deliver the ball. It is in an out swinging service and Montreal clears the ball. The second chance ball is sent back into the box, where a shot is sent way over the net.

7’ – Penso handing the U another yellow card, this time it is to Monteiro. The card is because Jamiro was lost his footing essentially and pulled down the Montreal player.

4’ – Free kick is sent into the center of the box and is punched out by Andre Blake. The second chance ball goes out for a goal kick.

3’ – Mbaizo is caught ball watching and takes down the Montreal player outside the box. He also earns a yellow from Penso.
