Kacper Przybylko took over sole possession of second place in all-time Philadelphia Union goals with a penalty kick against Nashville SC on Saturday night.

The goal was the 39th for Przybylko for the boys in blue, passing CJ Sapong’s 38 goals.

Interestingly enough, Przybylko passed Sapong playing against the former Union striker. Sapong wasn’t on the field when Przybylko converted the penalty but he subbed into the game in the 31st minute for Daniel Ríos.

Przybylko now has 11 goals on the season to go with 5 in Champions League. He’s also now five goals away from tying Sapong’s single season record for Union goals.

Sébastien Le Toux is the all-time leader in goals for the Union with 53.
