The Premier League is gearing up for its first-ever pre-season Summer Series tournament in the United States, and Philadelphia is among the chosen cities. The Series will feature six teams – Aston Villa, Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion, Chelsea, Fulham, and Newcastle United – competing in nine matches across five major East Coast cities.

Philadelphia will proudly kick off the tournament on Saturday, July 22, as Chelsea takes on Brighton at Lincoln Financial Field. The excitement continues the next day, with Fulham facing Brentford and Newcastle going head-to-head with Aston Villa. Both matches will also take place inside the Linc. This series will also occur during the first week of MLS and LIGA MX’s new Leagues Cup tournament.

The Premier League Summer Series demonstrates the league’s commitment to its U.S. fans and the sport’s growing popularity in our country. In conjunction with the tournament, the Premier League will partner with grassroots and community organizations in each host city to develop programs focused on community and youth soccer initiatives.

Premier League Chief Executive Richard Masters expressed his enthusiasm: “Our clubs have incredible supporters in the U.S., who passionately follow their teams throughout the season… We are excited to be building on this by bringing live Premier League action to five cities this summer.”

NBC Sports, the league’s U.S. broadcaster, will also air the series across NBC Universal Networks and Peacock. To secure tickets for the games, visit premierleague.com/SummerSeries to register for the pre-sale. Pre-sales for the Summer Series will commence on Tuesday, April 25, with general sales starting the following day on Wednesday, April 26.

Check out the graphic below for the complete schedule of the series, including details about the other host stadiums. It’s worth noting that Philly is the only city that will welcome all six teams, while Landover, MD’s FedExField will host four teams.
