Kalil ElMedkhar, a Philadelphia Union Academy grad and Reading United alum from Middletown, Del. was named to the USL Championship for a standout performance with Loudoun United FC in a win over Birmingham Legion FC.

ElMedkhar, 23, recorded a goal and an assist for Loudoun in the 3-0 win. The goal was ElMedkhar’s first and the assist his second in five appearances since joining the team in the offseason.

ElMedkhar signed with Loudoun in the offseason after his option with FC Dallas was declined. Dallas acquired the homegrown rights to ElMedkhar from the Philadelphia Union in 2021.
