Lower League Round-Up: Week of May 15

In this week’s round-up of local lower league soccer in and around Philadelphia, we saw two champions crowed and an undefeated team keep their unbeaten record intact. We also look forward to some upcoming Memorial Day Weekend soccer throughout the region:

Eastern Premier Soccer League (EPSL)

  • Sunday 5/21 – Inter Vidas 1-2 Kensington SC
  • Sunday 5/21 – Salone FC 1-4 Oaklyn United
  • Sunday 5/21 – FC Neman Philadelphia 0-3 Philadelphia SC
  • Sunday 5/21 – Philadelphia Heritage 1-0 Real Central NJ

-With the win, Philadelphia Heritage win the EPSL Delaware River Conference regular season title

-With Inter Vidas losing and Oaklyn United beating Salone, Oaklyn clinched the 3 seed and Salone is the 4 seed. Philadelphia SC finishes with the 2 seed while Heritage are the 1 seed.

– The teams will have Memorial Day Weekend off then the playoffs will take place on 6/4:

  • Philadelphia Heritage SC vs Salone FC
  • Philadelphia SC vs Oaklyn United

-The winner of the Delaware River Conference playoffs will advance to the EPSL final four to compete for the EPSL championship.

United Premier Soccer League (UPSL)

  • Saturday 5/20 – Pathfinder FC 2-3 Pennsylvania Prime
  • Sunday 5/21 – Philadelphia Lone Star FC 4-1 NY Braveheart

-Lone Star continue their winnings ways and improve to 7-2-0 (W-D-L). They have 2 games remaining as they look to lock up the number 1 seed and a bye in the Northeast – American conference playoffs. They will return to action on 6/4 but Pennsylvania Prime take on Real NY FC at 1 p.m. on Sunday, 5/28.

United Soccer League of Pennsylvania (USLPA), Majors Division

  • Monday 5/15 – Ukrainian Nationals 1-3 United German Hungarians
  • Wednesday 5/17 – Phoenix SC 0-2 Lancaster City FC
  • Sunday 5/21 – Lighthouse United 0-6 Lancaster City FC
  • Sunday 5/21 – West Chester United 4-1 United German Hungarians

-With only one game remaining in USLPA on Wednesday 5/24 (Lighthouse vs West Chester), West Chester will not be caught in the standings so that means West Chester United are the 2022-23 USLPA Champions!

National Premier Soccer League (NPSL)

  • Friday 5/19 – First State FC 1-3 Monmouth FC
  • Friday 5/19 – Electric City Shock 1-1 West Chester United
  • Saturday 5/20 – Philadelphia Union Development Squad 4-3 Atlantic City FC
  • Sunday 5/21 – Hershey FC 2-1 Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals
  • Sunday 5/21 – PA Classics 1-1 Torch FC
