Julián Carranza Voted MLS Player of the Matchday
Carranza scored the opening two goals for the Union in the club’s 3-1 victory over NYCFC on Saturday, May 27. Carranza, who has four goals in his last four matches, recorded his first multi-goal match of the 2023 season with a brace against NYCFC and now has 21 goals and 12 assists since the start of the 2022 season.

Curtin named MLS Coach of the Matchday
Curtin continued to show tactical flexibility on the narrow playing surface of Citi Field, rolling out a 5-2-1-2 against Eastern Conference rivals New York City FC. After taking some time to settle into a rhythm, the Union battled back from a first-half deficit behind a brace from Julian Carranza.
