21 teams from Eastern Pennsylvania competing in USYS National Championships



Twenty-one teams from Eastern Pennsylvania will be competing for a national title this week at the US Youth Soccer National Championships in Orlando, Florida.

A total of 22 teams qualified for nationals. Regional champions Reading Rage 09 Pugh had a trip to Sweden planned so they’re unable to participate.

Nine clubs have teams in Florida. Keystone FC has five teams playing, followed by Penn FC Youth with four, PA Dominion with three and Lower Merion SC, FC Europa and Yardley Makefield Soccer all with two. Hunter SC, Iron Valley United and FC Revolution each have one team.

  • 14U Girls – Reading Rage Pugh
  • 15U Boys – Yardley Makefield Soccer Celtic
  • 15U Boys – Lower Merion SC FCE Thunder
  • 15U Girls – Penn FC Youth Black
  • 15U Girls – Yardley Makefield Soccer Premier Spirit
  • 15U Girls – Keystone FC Premier
  • 16U Girls – Lower Merion SC Furia
  • 16U Girls – Penn FC Youth Black
  • 16U Boys – Keystone FC Premier
  • 17U Boys – Hunter SC 62 Blues
  • 17U Boys – FC Europa Elite
  • 17U Girls – Keystone FC Premier
  • 17U Girls – FC Revolution Reds
  • 18U Girls – Penn FC Youth Black
  • 18U Boys – PA Dominion
  • 19U Girls – Iron Valley United Thorns
  • 19U Girls – Penn FC Youth Lightning
  • 19U Girls – FC Europa Elite
  • 19U Boys – PA Dominion

The 21 teams from Eastern PA are the most from any state association. Illinois is second with 16 teams, followed by Ohio with 14, Florida with 13 and Missouri and New York East with 12. A total of 200 teams are part of the championship field across the 13U-19U age groups.

Games kick off Tuesday, July 18 at ESPN Wide World of Sports. The finals will be played for the 13U age group on Friday while semifinals and finals for the other age groups will be played on Saturday and Sunday.
