Jesus Bueno will join Philadelphia Union teammate Jose Martinez on the Venezuela national team squad for the first time for their upcoming World Cup qualifier matches in September.

Bueno and Martinez are both on the 30-man roster for the games being played September 7 against Colombia and September 12 vs Paraguay. Both matches are within an international break for MLS. The Union host the Red Bulls on Sept. 3 and are off until they host FC Cincinnati on Sept. 16.

Venezuela’s two matches are the first of 18 in the South American qualifying tournament for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Martinez has 23 caps with the national team since making his debut in 2021.
