Because the Union secured a 3-1 win against New England in the first match of the series, a favorable result would eliminate their opponent from the playoffs. If Revolution wins, the series will be sent back to Subaru Park for a third and final matchup to decide which team will advance.

MLS Suspends Philadelphia Union’s Kai Wagner for Three Matches
The suspension means he will miss the Union’s next playoff game against New England on November 8th and the if necessary the third game in the best of three series against the Revolution on November 12th. Depending on how the Union do with the rest of the playoffs, Wagner could return to the team for either the Eastern Conference finals or MLS Cup.

McGlynn produced some magic in the first game of the Union-New England playoff series, his latest in a series of pretty plays throughout the year.

The series will now go back to Columbus for the final and decisive game of the series to determine who advances to the Eastern Conference Semifinal against the winner of the series between Nashville SC and Orlando City SC.

MLS investigating Miazga for entering refs’ locker room
Miazga is already suspended for Cincinnati’s next playoff match against either the Philadelphia Union or the New England Revolution, after he was booked three times over the course of two matches of FCC’s series win over the Red Bulls.

USL and CBS Sports reach landmark multi-year rights agreement
Through the deal, CBS Sports will broadcast select USL matches, including the USL Championship Final, on the CBS Television Network– the first time USL competition will be featured on network television in league history. Matches on the CBS Television Network will also simulcast live on Paramount+.
