Collegeville native and former Reading Rage, Perkiomen Valley and ODP goalkeeper Leslie Adams has been named an assistant coach of the University of Albany women’s soccer team.

“I am thrilled to start my college coaching career with such a competitive women’s soccer program like UAlbany,” Adams stated in a news release. “Drawing from my previous coaching experiences, I am eager to bring new ideas and innovations while collaborating closely with our talented players and coaching staff. My goal is to build upon the program’s winning tradition and lead the team to even greater success.”

Adams joins UAlbany after spending the last two seasons with the Philadelphia Union Youth program as a staff coach. She also was the junior varsity head coach at Perkiomen Valley High School, her alma mater. Adams also worked previously at Between the Posts Goalkeeping in Horsham.

She was a member of the Siena College women’s soccer team for four years, earning MAAC Goalkeeper of the Year honors in the 2021 spring season.
