Philadelphia Union midfielder Jack McGlynn had the highest average FotMob rating among players eligible for the MLS Young Player of the Year award.

The 21-year-old was mentioned in FotMob’s “Alternative MLS Awards.”

The post notes that Real Salt Lake midfielder Diego Luna “deservedly” won the honor but notes that the Philadelphia Union missing the playoffs didn’t exactly help the Queens native’s chances.

“The creative midfielder who likes to shoot from long range was probably overlooked due to the Union’s disappointing season and will be hoping he and his team can produce better results in 2025.”

McGlynn had 4 goals, 5 assists and an average rating of 7.41 in 2,312 minutes played across 30 league matches.
