The Philadelphia Union wrapped up their preseason slate with a 1-0 win over CF Montreal in Florida on Friday afternoon.

Alejandro Bedoya scored the lone goal of the match. Not many other details are known because the game was not streamed at Montreal’s request. The match marked the first meeting between the two clubs since former Union homegrown defender Brandan Craig signed with CF Montreal. It also marked the debut of the new Voltage jerseys unveiled earlier this week.

The starting XI for the Union: Andrew Rick, Kai Wagner, Olwethu Makhanya, Jakob Glesnes, Frankie Westfield, Jovan Lukic, Danley Jean Jacques, Quinn Sullivan, Daniel Gazdag, Mikael Uhre, Tai Baribo.

The clean sheet was also their first win of the preseason. The Union lost to FC Cincinnati 4-1 in a 120-minute game last Friday after two losses in Spain: 2-1 to AGF Aarhus and 1-0 to SK Slavia Prague.

The Union will be back in Florida next Saturday for their season debut against Orlando City.
