New Philadelphia Union ‘Voltage Kit’ Unveiled

Long before there was a stadium or any fields on the Chester Waterfront the Philadelphia Union call home, the area was known for power with the Delaware County Power Plant a prominent building on the waterfront. The Union, which now calls that building home, pay homage to that history – along with that of Benjamin Franklin’s kite experiment – with the release of their new secondary “Voltage Kit” today.
“The ‘Voltage Kit’ captures the electrifying bond between the Philadelphia Union and the city itself,” Sam Leybman, Director of Marketing for Philadelphia Union said in a news release. “It embodies the energy, passion, and unpredictability that define both the team and Philadelphia. Inspired by the raw power of lightning, the kit symbolizes the spark behind every goal, pass, and moment of brilliance. Its sharp lines and bold flashes echo both the speed of a lightning strike and the creative energy of Philadelphia.”
The Thomas’ brand image returns to the front of the jersey and IBX will again have their logo emblazoned on the right sleeve. The left sleeve will continue to have the MLS logo and the Apple TV logo.
The jersey has the familiar light blue or signal blue color (shout out to Sons of Ben) of the last secondary jersey but the more yellowish than tannish bolts of lightning are less busy than the waves/camouflage of the secondary kit worn in 2023 and 2024.
The jersey, which will be worn during the 2025 and 2026 seasons, is now available to order. The Union are hosting a kit launch event to celebrate the new jersey on Saturday.
Power. Connection. Energy.
