Union II stays unbeaten, wins shootout in Chattanooga

The legend of Andrew Rick in penalty shootouts continues to grow with the latest display a three-save shootout performance that a secured a second point after a clean sheet in regulation that kept the Philadelphia Union II unbeaten through their first six games of the MLS Next Pro season.
Rick’s heroics in the shootout came after five saves in regulation in a scoreless draw on the road at Chattanooga FC. The match kickoff was delayed by rain and overlapped the first team match in Montreal. Rick made five saves in regulation to record his second clean sheet of the season.
Henry Bernstein, a University of Maryland commit, made his Union II debut, replacing CJ Olney in the second half. He also converted from the spot in the shootout. Nick Pariano scored twice in the shootout and Rick also converted in the 12 rounds of kicks.
Philadelphia Union II will return to Subaru Park to play Columbus Crew 2 on Sunday, May 11 (3:00 p.m. ET / Apple TV).
