The U.S. Open Cup will be back at Subaru Park in July with the New York Red Bulls making one of two trips to Chester that week (they host Red Bulls for a league match on July 12).

The Union will host their I-95 rivals on either July 8 or 9 but would travel for the semifinal and the final if they keep their cup run going.

The Union which advanced on penalties against Indy Eleven after a 1-1 draw and beat the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the Round of 16 on Wednesday to advance to their first quarterfinal since the 2018 competition. They drew the No. 4 slot in the hosting priority for the semifinal meaning they will travel to face the winner of DC United and Nashville SC if they get past the Red Bulls on either September 16 or 17. The final will be played in the West at either Minnesota United, Austin FC, San Jose Earthquakes or Chicago Fire on October 1.

The Union have made it to three U.S. Open Cup finals, falling in extra time to Seattle Sounders at home in 2014, to Sporting Kansas City at home in a penalty shootout in 2015 and in a 3-0 loss on the road to the Houston Dynamo in 2018.
