Ezekiel Alladoh will be the ninth player in Philadelphia Union history to wear the No. 23 jersey when he makes his team debut in 2026 but will be the first to wear the jersey number since Kacper Przybylko wore it his last season with the team in 2021.

Alladoh, 20, was announced Wednesday as the newest member of the Union and his record-breaking $4.5 million transfer carries plenty of expectation with it.

The Ghanaian forward wore the No. 23 shirt for his time with IF Brommapojkarna in Sweden and wore No. 29 at the start of his professional career with Accra Lions FC.

Previous Union No. 23s: Kacper Przybylko (2019-2021), John McCarthy (2017), Anderson Conceicao (2016), Steven Vitoria (2015), Cristhian Hernandez (2014), Lionard Pajoy (2012), Ryan Richter (2011), Nick Zimmerman (2010)
