You don’t need a ticket to the World Cup to see one of its teams play. At least not this time.

The Philadelphia Union announced Wednesday that Côte d’Ivoire’s Men’s National Team will take on Union II in a free friendly at Subaru Park on Monday, June 8th at 7 p.m. Yes, free. A legitimate World Cup squad, playing live in Chester, and it won’t cost you anything but the drive over.

‘Les Éléphants’ are using Subaru Park as their home base for the tournament. They’re in Group E with Germany, Ecuador, and Curaçao, and they’ve got two group stage matches scheduled right here in Philadelphia. This friendly on June 8th is their final tune-up before all of that begins. You’d be watching them in their last low-stakes moment before the whole world is watching.

And if one free event isn’t enough, there’s more. Côte d’Ivoire is also opening up a community training session on Friday, June 12th at 6:30 p.m. Also at Subaru Park, and also free. Come watch the squad train two days before their World Cup campaign gets underway.

Both events require tickets for entry, so don’t sleep on it. Grab yours at the link below.
