The Union Shuffle

The starting lineup for the home opener on Saturday is still a mystery.  Today’s article in the Inquirer reveals more clues:

• Cristian Arrieta has been working out with the team but isn’t signed yet. He could start if he signs.
• Shavar Thomas could make the start in the back.
• Michael Orcozo could also help out on defense but is playing well at mid.

And don’t forget: Fred returns.

I’m interested to see if Mwanga will start in the midfield again and how this patchwork defense holds up.

I know Myrie wasn’t great but if he was good enough to start last game, couldn’t he be good enough to ride the bench in case someone goes down?  Defense is real thin and unstable right now.
