Philadelphia Union Academy defender Rayshaun McGann is in France with the United States U17 team for the 44th International Montaigu Tournament.

McGann, who recently earned a start at center back with the Union U18 team in a win over local rivals Continental FC Delco, is one of 20 players on head coach John Hackworth’s roster for the tournament, which kicks off with a game against Brazil in Poire-Sur-Vie, France on Tuesday.

The U.S. is scheduled to play England in Poire-Sur-Vie on March 24, Russia in Breteignolles-Sur-Mer on March 26 and an opponent to be determined on March 28.

McGann, a Florida native who turned 16 last month, has been a regular call-up to U.S. youth teams, most recently with the U17s for the Aegean Cup in Turkey in January.

He joined the Union Academy in 2014 and has now played for the U14, U16 and U18 teams.
