A trio of Philadelphia Union Academy players have been named to conference Starting XI teams for the U.S. Soccer Development Academy.

Goalkeeper Andrew Verdi made the Starting XI for the U17/18 East Conference while midfielder Josue Monge and defender Rayshaun McGann were on the U15/16 East Conference team.

Verdi registered 14 clean sheets this season for the U18s in 26 starts. He’s heading to the University of Michigan this fall.

Monge and McGann both split time between the U16 and U18 teams. Monge had three goals in 13 appearances for the U18s and a pair of goals in 14 appearances for the U16 team. McGann, who joined the Academy last year from Florida, made six appearances for the U16 team and 10 for the U18 team as a 16-year-old.

PDA forward Isaiah Young, who played for the Union U16s in 2013-14, was named player of the year for the East Conference.
