After a win in their season finale on Saturday, La Salle earned the No. 3 seed in the Atlantic 10 Tournament, which will begin for them on Thursday night in Davidson, North Carolina, against sixth-seeded Rhode Island.

Midfielder Matt Robinson (Lansdale, Pa.) scored the lone goal, his fifth of the season, in the 32nd minute on Saturday to top UMass 1-0 in the regular season finale. The goal came off a throw-in from defender Zach Rutherford, who picked up his fifth assist of the year.

Goalkeeper Mike Kirk (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) made six saves to record his 15th career clean sheet in the match.

La Salle last advanced to the Atlantic 10 Tournament in 2013, losing to Saint Louis 3-1 in their first round match-up. They lost to Saint Louis in the semifinal in 2013 and in the quarterfinal in 2012.

The Billikens earned the top seed in the tournament after winning the regular season title. Fordham, UMass, VCU, Duquesne and Dayton also advanced while Saint Joseph’s had their 2016 season come to a close after the weekend results did not fall in their favor.
