James Chambers stays with Bethlehem Steel FC

The Irishman also will be captain of the team’s second season

James Chambers is staying with Bethlehem Steel FC after what can only be called an electric 2016. Chambers came into USL from St. Patrick’s in Ireland, and while it took the holding midfielder some time to settle in he turned into one of the best players in the league. He logged 27 games with 2134 minutes, scoring three goals and assisting on four more on the season. His ten yellow cards and one red I assure you were just because he had to get used to USL officiating (which is always amazing), and those numbers should drop next year. James can play just about any pass you can ask for, runs for the entire 90 minutes, and will no doubt be one to watch on free kicks in year two of his career in USL. His ability to teach some of the youth in the squad and constantly fight for points are no doubt two of the reasons he's been given the captain’s band permanently next year.
