Alejandro Bedoya Called Up to USMNT
The Philadelphia Union’s captain will represent the US against Honduras and Panama in the upcoming hex matches.
Philadelphia Union captain, midfielder, and designated player Alejandro Bedoya has been named to the United States National Team ahead of their upcoming World Cup Qualifiers. These games will be played in San Jose, California against Honduras on March 24th, and in Panama City, Panama against Los Canaleros on the 28th. These games in the hex are going to be crucial for the United States’ chances to get to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Bedoya has been a regular on the national team for the past couple of years, including starting in 3 World Cup games in 2014. This will be his 58th and 59th cap in his career should he play in both games. Bedoya will not have to miss any games for the Philadelphia Union as there is no games scheduled during the USMNT’s qualifiers.
